My submission for D&AD New Blood 2020.
Brief set by TeenVogue + The Case For Her;
“Use branded content to challenge ideas around female pleasure and sexual wellness”
My approach to the brief was to think about women of all ages. Sex is seen as a young (wo)man’s game. Women “of a certain age” disappear from the sex conversation. Their represention in the media is as a MILF or a mother, with no in-between. If a young woman can see that her sex life is for life then she can begin to take care of herself and her pleasure.
During lockdown I shot this interview with my mother. I asked her about her sex life, menopause and what advice she would give her younger self about sex.
